God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Give Online

Give online through Stripe via Planning Center to certify that all transactions are secure to the highest degree. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Using PayPal to give online is another great option . PayPal is a universally trusted source  to send money and ensures transactions happen safely.

Give In Person

You can give during any of our worship services. Currently, offering plates and baskets are located at the back of our worship venues. Your offering can be placed as you enter or as you leave worship.
You can also drop off your offering throughout the week at our main office, from 8:00AM to 8:00PM at 1100 North Main Street.

Planned Giving & Endowments

Planned giving strategies can help you make charitable gifts while enjoying tax benefits and preserving economic value for yourself and your loved ones. 
Bequests are the most common way to make lasting gifts. Along with one’s local congregation and/or other charitable interests, listing CFCG as a beneficiary in your estate plan will perpetuate a gift for the work of the Kingdom. Donors are encouraged to consult with our staff when preparing their estate plans to ensure that CFCG are able to carry out their wishes.
IRA, 401(k), or Other Qualified Retirement Plan Assets may be given directly to CFCG or other charitable interest if named as beneficiary.
Life Insurance may be used if you name CFCG as the owner and beneficiary of a new or existing policy – perhaps a policy that is no longer essential to your financial goals.

Endowments

CFCG Endowed funds are invested to earn a return and annually provide a distribution of earnings to support their stated purpose.  Endowments may be set-up with or without donor restrictions.  A standard or permanent endowment is one where the principle must be kept forever.  New endowments can be established with a minimum of a $25,000 gift.  There is no minimum for new contributions to existing endowments.  A quasi endowment is one where the principle may be spent if needed.

Current CFCG Permanent Endowments Include:

  • Emergency Care Endowment (962) – Anonymous – Provides emergency, non-sustaining living expenses for individuals who may or may not be members of CFCG.
  • Permanent Endowment Fund (959) – Miller, Various - Provides for ministries related to CFCG Mission, specifically for those beyond the normal operating budget.

Current CFCG Quasi Endowments Include:

  • Larry White Quasi Endowment (974) – The purpose of this fund is to resource existing or future people-oriented programs or activities sponsored by GFCG and intended to enhance the religious, educational and spiritual lives of the parishioners of CFCG and students attending the University of Findlay.
  • Darrell Prichard Quasi Endowment (958) – To support persons who attend CFCG as they participate on mission trips.
  • Reist Next Gen (950) – Provides for next generation spiritual leadership development of interns, residents and fellows.
  • H. Haynes Scholarship (965) – To provide scholarships for students at Winebrenner Theological Seminary and the University of Findlay.
  • Hochstettler Youth Ministry (972) – To support ministry to young people including but not limited to participation in mission trips, scholarship to church camp, bible quizzing and general youth group activities.
  • Brewer Quasi Endowment (961) – Provides for projects or ministries that provide long term benefits to CFCG for those beyond the normal operating budget.
  • Redman (970) – No specific purpose; however, it was unofficially earmarked to provide food for Savane Tapio School in Haiti.   
  • Shuck Camp Quasi Endowment (973) – Provides scholarships for youth to attend summer camp at Camp Otyokwah.  Recipients do not need to be members of CFCG.
  • Capital Improvement (963) – To provide for maintenance, repair, and replacement of CFCG building, property and major equipment assets.

How to Give

College First Church of God (CFCG) is equipped to receive both liquid and non-liquid assets. Because CFCG is recognized as a 501( c )(3) charitable organization, donors may leverage an income tax advantage. Please consult with your tax advisor. Some of the more common forms of support include:
  • Cash Donation: Cash gifts, unless otherwise specified, are added to the general fund to support church operations and the various ministries that serve the common good of the Church. Click here (add link to our giving page) to make an online contribution.
  • Appreciated stock, ETF’s or mutual fund shares.
  • Direct transfers from certain tax-qualified or retirement plans.
  • Non-liquid assets such as real estate, artwork, family owned business or personal property.
  • Purchase of a charitable gift annuity that will return to you an income stream for the remainder of your (and/or your spouse’s) life while providing a permanent asset to CFCG at your death.
  • Providing for a planned gift through your estate.
